Intel Launched Quad Core Processor,Xeon 7300

Intel Started the sale of their new server processor Xeon 7300.The New Processor includes 4 processor in a single die that gives twice performance than Intel Dual Core Processors.Also it consumes less energy when compared to the Dual core processors.

Xeon 7300 have two high end models-E7340 & E7350.These two processors have 8 MB of cache memory.The clock speed of E7340 & E7350 are 2.4 GHz and 2.3 GHz respectively. The 7300 series utilizes Virtualization Technology and offers up to four times the memory capacity of Intel's previous MP platforms.

The Xeon 7300 has two low end models also.It includes 6MB,4MB cache memory and 1.6 GHz-2.4Ghz, 1.86 GHz-2.13GHz respectively.
